Gail J. Donner BScN, RN, PhD

Gail Donner has had a rich and varied career with roles that have helped shape nursing and broader healthcare in Canada since the early eighties. From Chair, Department of Nursing at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute; Executive Director of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario; Director of Nursing Education and Research at the Hospital for Sick Children and Dean of the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto, Gail’s leadership has been highly sought after.

Gail has held many governments and community appointments. She was Chair of the Long-Term Care Task Force on Resident Care and Safety and Chaired the Report of the Expert Group on Home and Community Care “Bringing Care Home” ensuring the home and community care system that Ontarians need, want, and deserve.
