Gabriel W. C. Cheung PhD

Gabriel Cheung, Senior Director, BioMedicine Design, Medicinal Sciences, Worldwide Research and Development, Pfizer, Inc. Dr. Gabriel WC Cheung joined Pfizer in 2015. He is a Senior Director at BioMedicine Design. He oversees the endogenous antibody discovery, high throughput screening, and technologies group supporting Biotherapeutic needs across all Pfizer Research Units. Through his interests and passion in technology development and humoral immunity, Dr. Cheung is committed to transforming how the Pharma industry rapidly delivers high quality and functionally relevant biotherapeutics through the use of deep repertoire discovery.

Prior to joining Pfizer, Dr. Cheung spent 14 years at Cell Signaling Technology leading the company to global leadership in rabbit monoclonal antibody development. He and his research team developed a number of industry leading and state-of-the-art antibody discovery technologies and platforms to address real-world commercial needs. During his tenure at CST, he and his research team also made noticeable scientific contributions and collaborations in the field of immunology and vaccine leading to a number of patents and high profile publications in Nature Biotechnology, Nature Immunology, and Immunity. Dr. Cheung received his PhD in Biochemistry, molecular biology, and biophysics from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
