Fulvio Pinelli MD

Fulvio Pinelli is the Director of the Vascular Access Center, Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, at Careggi University Hospital of Florence, Italy, and Professor at the School of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at the University of Florence. Vascular Access Center provides the implantation of nearly 3000 procedures/year, most of them being totally implanted vascular access devices (TIVAD), tunnelled catheters, PICC, and Midline for medium-long term therapies. Fulvio is also the author of several research studies, with main fields of interest being: catheter-related thrombosis and infection prevention; implantation techniques; vascular access teams, and he's frequently involved in presentations and lectures on these topics, both in Italy and abroad.
