Professor Frederik Marme is currently an Assistant Professor of Gynecology for the Medical Faculty of Heidelberg at the University of Heidelberg in Germany.

Professor Marme obtained his medical degree in 2002 from the University of Heidelberg Medical School. From 2002 to 2003, he worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the German Cancer Research Centre in Heidelberg in the Department of Growth Control and Signal Transduction. Professor Marme completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University Hospital Heidelberg from 2003 to 2004 and submitted his MD thesis to the Department of Gene Regulation in 2004. He held a fellowship in obstetrics and gynecology, gynecological oncology, and breast oncology at the University Hospital Heidelberg from 2004 to 2010, completing a second post-doctoral research post at the German Cancer Research Centre from 2006 to 2007 in the Department of Molecular Genetics on the topic of predictive and prognostic factors in early breast cancer. He earned his board certification in obstetrics and gynecology in 2010 and has served as a consultant in gynecology and breast oncology at the National Centre for Tumor Diseases in Heidelberg since 2010.

Professor Marme is currently Head of the Translational Gynecologic Oncology Section at the National Center for Tumor Diseases in Heidelberg. He is an elected member of the German Breast Group (GBG), the Executive Board of the German Society of Gynecological Oncology (AGO)-Over study group, and the AGO-Translational Research working group. He also belongs to several scientific societies, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), and the German Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (DGGG).
 

Professor Marme is actively involved in clinical research, having served as the principal investigator for over 25 studies and as a co-principal investigator on nearly 50 others since 2004. His research interests include translational research, predictive and prognostic biomarkers, molecular profiling, and immunotherapies in breast and ovarian cancer. He has co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles.
