Frederick C. Ryckman MD

Frederick C. Ryckman, MD, recently retired Senior Vice President for Medical Operations, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, worked to implement the safest and most reliable health care for children. He directed Medical Operations from 2000 to 2017 and served as the Interim Chief Operating Officer in 2015. In addition, as the Peri-Operative Service Director, he led the OR management team, infection prevention, and safety initiatives.
Dr. Ryckman's work was focused on patient flow and capacity management throughout the Children's Hospital inpatient and outpatient environment. A Professor Emeritus of Surgery at the University of Cincinnati, specializing in pediatric multi-organ transplantation, he now resides on Sanibel Island in Florida.
