Frederic Grillot PhD, MS

Dr. Grillot is a Professor, Physicist, Inventor & Innovator. The overarching focus of his work is to generate cutting-edge research on photonics intelligence that will benefit humanity. This objective is performed by attracting, training, and educating the best students and engineers in order to push further the frontiers of Science. With this approach, his ambition to produce significant breakthroughs, proof of concepts, new findings of novel physics, and develop new photonic based-technologies that can be directly used in a various span of applications including but not limited to, optical communications, optical computing, sensing, defense, and information security. His research work intersects a broad spectrum of skills and knowledge from materials properties and fabrication to modeling and simulation of device structures through theoretical work and assessment of the performance of functional devices, with possible insertion into sub-systems and test-bed evaluations.
