Dr Fred Pockrass has been a restorative general dentist since 1981, graduating from McGill University, Montreal. He is passionate about creating natural-looking smiles and safely removing mercury filings. Dr. Fred began practicing in Ottawa, and in 1989, moved to the Himalayas where he created a Western-style dental clinic. In 2003 he founded the first green dental office, in Berkeley, California, establishing a model for eco-friendly dental practice. In 2015, he and his wife Ina made the Nelson area home and now live on a farm with 5 llamas, orchards and gardens in Sunshine Bay. He is a member of the Canadian and British Columbia Dental Associations, and is Canadian and American Board certified and licensed in both British Columbia and California.
