Fred Graham RN, CNC, PhD

Frederick Graham is Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) for Dementia & Delirium at Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH), Brisbane, Queensland. Fred has developed and implemented multiple quality improvement strategies to improve hospital care for people with cognitive impairment including new models of care, special environments, assessment tools, care resources, champion’s networks and education programs. He was principle content author for nationwide online education - “The View from Here” - recently released by Dementia Training Australia (DTA) to train acute-care nurses on best practice care for hospitalised people with dementia. Fred is currently undertaking his PhD at the Queensland University of Technology which uses virtual simulation technology to explore how acute-care nurses make decisions about care for people with dementia who experience agitation and aggression.
