Franziska Turck PhD

Dr Franziska Turck was awarded a PhD in 1998 from the Institute of Botany, University of Basel, Switzerland. Since 2006 she has been research group leader at the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research in Cologne, Germany. Her research group studies the interplay of DNA-binding transcription factors and protein complexes that affect chromatin structure in the regulation of gene expression, with a particular focus on genes that play a key role in timing of flowering.
