Frans Pouwer MSc, PhD

Frans Pouwer is professor of Medical Psychology, he is one of the leading researchers who are specialized in the psychosocial aspects related to diabetes. He is affiliated to the University of Southern Denmark in Odense, Denmark. Frans Pouwer is past president of the PSAD Study Group of the EASD, he also chaired the European Depression in Diabetes Research Consortium (EDID). His research is focused on depression, anxiety, eating disorders, sleep quality in people with diabetes and also on diabetes-distress, hypoglycemia and psychological barriers related to insulin therapy.
