Dr. Franky Hartono, SpOT(K) has 35 years of experience as an orthopedic surgeon since completing his medical and orthopedic surgery specialist studies in 1986 at the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven), Belgium. He completed the Postgraduate Doctoral Program at Hasanuddin University, Makassar in 2012 with a focus on studying the incidence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in knee and hip surgery. Since 2012, he has been a consultant in orthopedic knee and hip surgery (adult joint reconstruction, sports injuries, and trauma in the elderly).
He is a lecturer in the Indonesian Hip and Knee Society (IHKS) fellowship program, a lecturer in the AO Trauma course, and a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, Pelita Harapan University. Apart from teaching, he also continues to update his orthopedic knowledge by attending various courses, and congresses, and participating in various live surgery training, especially in the field of knee and hip arthroplasty, both at home and abroad. To share his experience, dr. Franky has participated in various national and international seminars and congresses as a speaker since 1991. Dr. Franky is an active member of the Indonesian Association of Orthopedic Surgeons (PABOI), Indonesian Hip and Knee Society (IHKS), Indonesian Orthopedic Trauma Society (IOTS), AOTrauma Asia Pacific, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeon (AAOS).
