Frank Wong PhD

Dr. Frank Y. K. Wong, Ph.D. is a Research Scientist at the CSIRO. He is a collaborator on a project in the public health pillar of APPRISE. Dr. Wong’s research interests lie in molecular epidemiology, phylogenetics, and virus evolution, and studying the continuing diversification of influenza and other virus pathogens of significance to animal health through regional surveillance. He serves as a World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) reference expert for highly pathogenic and low pathogenic avian influenza.
