Frank Hudson MD, MPH, FACP

Frank Parker Hudson, M.D., MPH, FACP, is an assistant professor of internal medicine and infectious diseases at Dell Medical School. He is also the program director for the Internal Medicine Residency.

Hudson completed medical school and combined training in internal medicine and general pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in the global health track. He was the chief resident for the internal medicine-pediatrics program. Afterward, he completed an adult infectious diseases fellowship and a Master of Public Health in epidemiology at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Hudson joined the Dell Medical School faculty in 2016.

Hudson also provides HIV primary care in the community. He is passionate about medical education, clinical reasoning, and infectious diseases, especially HIV care. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he led local and state clinical and public health responses as part of UT Health Austin’s COVID-19 response team and as chief medical advisor to Governor Abbott’s Strike Force to Open Texas.
