Frank P.k. Hsu MD, PhD

Dr. Frank P.K. Hsu is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon who specializes in cerebrovascular, minimally invasive and open skull base surgery. He has extensive expertise in radiosurgery and functional surgery for movement disorders, deep brain stimulation, epilepsy and pain.

Hsu also is highly skilled at treating patients with aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations and cavernous malformations, as well as malignant and benign tumors of the brain and spine, including pituitary tumors and meningiomas. His research interests are in biomedical engineering, its application in neurosurgery and the biomechanics of cerebral aneurysms. Before coming to UC Irvine Medical Center, he was the director of functional, cerebrovascular and skull base surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
