Frank Dudbridge is a Professor of Statistical Genetics at the University of Leicester. After an early career in fractal image compression, he moved into statistical genetics through postdoctoral appointments at the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge, subsequently holding academic appointments at the MRC Biostatistics Unit and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He joined the University of Leicester in 2016.
His interests are in statistical methods in genetic epidemiology, including the analysis of family-based association studies, genome-wide association scans, and Mendelian randomization designs. His current interests focus on polygenic models for risk prediction, dissection of heritability, and the evolution of tumors.
