Frank Baas MD, PhD is Professor of Genome Analysis at the Leiden University Medical Center and a board certified Clinical Molecular geneticist. He graduated 1986 at the University of Amsterdam, did postdoctoral training at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, Harvard University and MIT.
In 1992 he moved to the Academic Medical Center and was appointed Professor of Neurogenetics at the University of Amsterdam, where he started his research on neurodegenerative disorders. In 2017 he moved to Leiden University to continue his research on neurogenetic disorders. Frank Baas has published over 300 peer-reviewed papers in the field of human genetics. He is named inventor on patents in the fields of neurodegeneration and cancer.
