Frank Kero received a B.S. in chemistry from Seton Hall University and a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry under the supervision of Richard Yost at the University of Florida. He was awarded an ORISE research fellowship by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, GA. He has coauthored ~60 conference posters, ~10 peer reviewed publications (journals/encyclopedias), 3 new invention disclosures and ~15 assorted marketing application notes on the topics of automation, sample preparation, chromatography and tandem mass spectrometry exploring diverse applications in clinical chemistry, forensic toxicology, food safety and environmental surveillance. He has provided methods and data to support 3 investigational new drug (IND) 505B2 FDA submissions and recently sold the rights for a novel sample prep device designed for the paper and pulp industry. He has contributed to commercial product development efforts in several industries including: pharma, laboratory consumables, flexible packaging, medical devices, petroleum field applications and mining water quality.
