Francois Guilhot

Francois Guilhot is the past Director of the Clinical Investigation Center (CIC) 1402 INSERM (University Hospital Center) in Poitiers, France. Prof. Guilhot studied medicine at the University of Paris, obtaining a Master of Human Biology in Hematology. a medical doctorate and later became a professor of Clinical Hematology.

Prof. Guilhot was granted the first Award of the French Society of Hematology for Clinical Research in 1999, founded the Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML) French Group, and is the President of the hematological section of the National Council of French Physicians. Since 2016 he is a member of the scientific board of Fondation Bergonie Cancer Research Centre (Bordeaux) and since 2017 a member of the Academy of Medicine.

Prof. Guilhot is a member of the European Leukemia Net, the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the European Hematology Association, and the International Association for Comparative Research on Leukemia and related diseases. Pr. Guilhot has published over 600 communications and articles appearing in journals such as Blood, Leukemia & Lymphoma, Cancer Research, Seminars in Hematology, J Clin Oncology, Cancer, Leukemia, and the New England Journal of Medicine
