Francois Carre, MD, Ph.D. is a cardiologist at the University Hospital of Rennes and a professor in cardiovascular physiology and exercise physiology at the Department of Medical Physiology, University of Rennes, France. 

He is the chief of the Medical Department of Sport’s Medicine at the University Hospital of Rennes, France, and the deputy director of the Research Team INSERM U1099 (National Institute of Health and Scientific Research). He was for 4 years the elected secretary of the Sport’s Cardiology of the European Preventive Cardiology Association from the European Society of Cardiology. He has been the chairman elected of the section of cardiac rehabilitation and sports cardiology from the French Society of Cardiology and chairman of the private association Club des Cardiologues du sport. He is an expert cardiologist with the French federations of athletics, football, cycling, rugby, and sailing. Professor Carre is the chief editor of a French journal concerning the sport’s cardiology entitled: “Cardio & Sport”.
