Francisco Sampaio

Francisco Sampaio, Degree in Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto in 1999. His enrollment in the Portuguese Medical Association with Professional Certificate nº 38910. His Complementary Internship in Cardiology from 2002 to 2007 at Centro Hospitalar de Vila Nova de Gaia. He was a Hospital Assistant who Graduated in Cardiology at Centro Hospitalar de Vila Nova de Gaia in 2015. Areas of interest: echocardiography; valvular disease; cardiac insufficiency; cardiovascular prevention. He is a Coordinator of the Scientific Research area of ​​the Cardiology Service at the Vila Nova de Gaia Hospital Center. He completed PhD in Cardiovascular Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto in January 2015 – approved with distinction. He was an Invited Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto since 2016. He was also a Researcher at UNIC – Cardiovascular Research and Development Unit. Professor of the Curricular Unit of Cardiovascular Diseases – 4th year of the Integrated Master in Medicine. He is a Professor in the Doctoral Program of Cardiovascular Sciences. He is a Postgraduate in Management and Management of Health Services at Porto Business School (2017-2018) – best postgraduate student award. He was a Coordinator of the Echocardiography Study Group of the Portuguese Society of Cardiology from 2015 to 2019. He is a Coordinator of the Valvular Disease Study Group of the Portuguese Society of Cardiology 2021-. He is a “Fellow” of the European Society of Cardiology since 2017. Member of the Portuguese Society of Cardiology.
