Francisco Sobral do Rosário is an endocrinologist. He has been working at Hospital da Luz since 2007, where he coordinates the Multidisciplinary Diabetes Center since 2014 and the Endocrinology Service since 2017. He has worked at the Associação Protectora dos Diabéticos de Portugal since 2004. 2008).
He is interested in Narrative in Medicine, particularly in the area of Diabetes and Chronic Disease. Author of a book of short stories "Neither of one type nor of another - stories with diabetics", Lisbon, Lusoscience (2009) and organizer of the book "The painting of Josefa de Óbidos in the kitchen of diabetes", Lisbon, Colibri (2013). He is a co-author of other books in the area of Diabetes and Chronic Disease. He was elected representative for Portugal in the Diabetes Education Study Group (DESG) of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) (2011-2014). He is a researcher at the Narrative and Medicine Project at the Faculty of Arts in Lisbon.
He is the author of scientific communications at national and international Scientific Meetings. He is the author of scientific articles in national and international indexed journals. He belongs to the Editorial Board of the Portuguese Journal of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
