Francis Mark Mondimore MD

Francis Mondimore, M.D., is a psychiatrist with over 30 years of experience treating people with psychiatric disorders. A graduate of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, he also did his psychiatric training at Hopkins, where he is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. In 2012 Dr. Mondimore established the Mood Disorders Clinic at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where he led a team of clinicians specializing in the care of persons with mood disorders until his retirement from clinical practice in 2019.

Dr. Mondimore’s research activities have included studies on the genetics of mood disorders and pharmacogenomic studies, as well as clinical trials of investigational treatments and medical devices for the diagnosis and treatment of mood disorders. He continues to be active in clinical research including current studies at Johns Hopkins on the use of psilocybin for the treatment of depression.
