Frances Henshaw PhD

Dr. Frances Henshaw Ph.D. is a Professional & Clinical Development Manager at ConvaTec. As an experienced clinician-researcher and scientist, her primary research interest is in the prevention and management of diabetes-related foot disease. Her current research focuses on advanced wound assessment using novel point-of-care techniques such as ultrasound and biochemistry techniques. She also has an interest in the use of personalized care such as activity monitoring and pressure offloading to prevent primary foot ulceration and ulcer recurrence. Having worked at the coalface' she has observed first-hand the devastating consequences of diabetes-related foot ulceration. She seeks to use my unique set of clinical experience along with the biochemistry skills she acquired during her Ph.D. to find translatable bench-to-bedside solutions which will improve foot-related outcomes in people with diabetes.
