Dr. Fran Cook-Bolden is a top-ranked, board-certified dermatologist dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients throughout New York City at her office in Manhattan's Midtown East neighborhood. As the director of Skin Specialty Dermatology and the Ethnic Skin Specialty Group, Dr. Cook-Bolden offers patients a full spectrum of care, including treatment for adult and adolescent acne, skin cancer screenings and treatment, laser hair removal, treatment of nail fungus, dermatologic surgery and more, as well as Botox®, cosmetic fillers and noninvasive “lifting” procedures with the state-of-the-art Ultherapy® system. Committed to providing each patient with individualized care, Dr. Cook-Bolden offers one-on-one, confidential dermatologic consultations, and her office is equipped with the most advanced technology available to ensure optimal results for both medical and cosmetic dermatologic care and treatment.

Dr. Cook-Bolden received her medical degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She remains involved in cutting-edge research exploring a range of novel and emerging treatment options so she can continue to provide her patients with the broadest array of care and services. She also lectures frequently at conferences at the local, national and international levels, and maintains active memberships in several medical societies, including a board appointment with The Dermatologic Society of Greater New York. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Cook-Bolden is also an assistant professor of dermatology at Columbia University in New York. Widely published, she is the co-author of Beautiful Skin of Color: A Comprehensive guide to Asian, Olive and Dark Skin. Dr. Cook-Bolden welcomes new patients, and her office accepts all major insurance plans. She speaks both English and Spanish.
