Foo Siew Hui MBBS, MRCP

Dr. Siew-Hui FOO is the Consultant Endocrinologist & Physician of the Department of Medicine in Hospital Selayang. She obtained her Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) (1st Class Honours at the University of Sydney, Australia. She obtained her Membership of Royal College Physician (MRCP) at The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, United Kingdom and completed her postgraduate endocrinology fellowship in 2009.

She is a committee member of Malaysia Ministry of Health Endocrine Drugs Working Committee, National Endocrine Dynamic Tests Protocols Working Group Committee, Malaysia Ministry of Health Technical Evaluation Committee for Blood Glucose Strips & Glucometer for Ministry of Health Hospitals, District Health Offices & Health Clinics, National Working Committee for Inpatient Glycemic Management Guide, Selangor State Health Department Non-Communicable Disease Technical Committee, Selayang Hospital Research Review Committee, Selayang Hospital Peri-operative Mortality Review Committee, Selayang Hospital Medication Safety Sub-committee and Selayang Hospital Quality Assurance Program / Performance Indicator (HPIA / KPI) Technical Committee.

She has been the co-investigator / principal investigator for 19 Investigated Initiated Research (IIR) as well as Industrial Sponsored Research (ISR). She has co-presented over 15 research papers in local and international meetings followed by publications in various local, regional and international journals. Her main focus of interests includes young-onset type 2 diabetes, diabetes in Asians, adrenal/pituitary and thyroid disorders.
