Flora Mcerlane MbChB, MSc, MRCPCH

Dr Flora McErlane is a paediatric rheumatology consultant at the Great North Children's Hospital in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and is the paediatric lead for adolescent rheumatology services in the region. She has a particular interest in improving standards of care and outcomes for children and young people with arthritis (JIA) and works closely with other academic teams around the country.

As chair of the JIA Topic Specific Group (part of the CRN: Children / Arthritis Research UK Clinical Studies Group), she is able to ensure close communication between BANNAR and other paediatric rheumatology specific national groups, highlighting and promoting research priorities important to adolescents and young adults.
