Flavius Cioca PhD

Dr. Flavius Cioca, PhD, is a Romanian physician, academic, and public health specialist who currently serves as an Occupational Medicine Clinician at the Timișoara Railway Hospital and as a Teaching Assistant at “Victor Babeș” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara, where he supports the Informatics and Biostatistics discipline in the Functional Sciences Department. He has been in his current clinical and academic roles since 2021–2022 and also previously served as Executive Director of the Public Health Administration of Timiș County, where he played a key leadership role in local public health and the COVID-19 pandemic response from 2020 to 2022.

Dr. Cioca’s expertise encompasses occupational medicine, public health, medical management, epidemiology, and crisis management. He has participated as a speaker at international scientific conferences, including the Infectious Diseases and Vaccine Congress. In addition to his hospital and academic work, he has also been active in health communication and community education, contributing to discussions on public health, workplace safety, and preventive medicine in Romanian media and professional forums.
