Fiona Cathcart graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2007 and has been developing her expertise in cystic fibrosis since joining the Royal Brompton Hospital in 2010. Fiona completed a Master's degree in advanced cardio-respiratory physiotherapy at the University of Herefordshire in 2015 and completed the Mary Seacole NHS leadership award in 2019. As clinical specialty lead for the adult cystic fibrosis therapy team, Fiona now leads the physiotherapy, dietitian, and psychology services. Fiona recently developed an advance care planning document for adults with CF which is now available on the CF Trust website. Fiona was also part of a team who developed the free end-of-life care online course for healthcare professionals working with people with cystic fibrosis. She was also an author of the 2017 ACPCF/CF Trust standards of care and good clinical practice for physiotherapy and the International Physiotherapy Group 2018 guidelines. Fiona is passionate about developing the role of allied health professionals in cystic fibrosis and how we can find innovative ways to care for our fast-changing patient population.
