Filip De Somer is perfusionist. Chief of Perfusion at University Hospital Ghent, Ghent, Belgium. He has a special interest in long and short term extracorporeal support during surgery and critical care medicine. He is an active member of the Institute of Biomedical Technology of Ghent University and has published over 70 peer reviewed articles.
