Filip Kucera MD

Dr. Filip Kucera is a Consultant pediatric cardiologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). He is the cardiology lead for Kawasaki disease at GOSH and is responsible for cardiac management in patients with Kawasaki Disease.

In his work, he has connected with Society over the last year. He was the organiser and chair of the GOSH Symposium on Kawasaki Disease which took place in November 2019 and attracted a large number of clinicians who joined the event from across the U.K. and internationally! It was Dr Kucera and his team who, together with Hospital Necker in Paris, led the important Webinar earlier this year too, on Kawasaki Disease, COVID-19 and Paediatric multisystem inflammatory syndrome (PIMS-TS) - bringing together hundreds of doctors to focus on the science, share experience and encourage best practice treatment for children affected by these different serious illnesses.
