Fernando Vidal-vanaclochaMD, PhD
Dr. Fernando Vidal-Vanaclocha obtained his MD from the University of Valencia School of Medicine and his Ph.D. from the Basque Country University in Bilboa, Spain. He is a Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine at the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
His basic research focuses on organ-specific models of cancer metastasis and angiogenesis, and on the effects of inflammation and oxidative stress in the regulation of metastatic cancer cell behavior. His translational research deals with molecular pathophysiology of cancer metastasis in patients with breast and gastrointestinal cancers. Formerly, he served as Senior Vice-President for preclinical sciences at the INBIOMED Foundation and CSO at the Pharmakine SL.
