Fernando Marko

Dr. Fernando Marco Martinez, president of the Commission of Teaching and Continuing Education Clínico San Carlos and Professor of Orthopedic and Trauma Surgery of the Complutense University of Madrid, is the new medical director of the Hospital. Dean of the Faculty of Medicine cited Complutense University, where he studied and obtained extraordinary prize in both the degree and doctorate.

Dr. Marco Martinez is head of the Unit of Shoulder and Elbow Service of Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic San Carlos, president of the National Committee of this specialty and a member of the Academic Council of the Real Colegio Complutense at Harvard. In the field of leadership and management, the new medical director of the Clinic San Carlos is Master in Management of Health Services and Health Companies Complutense University and has served as Director of Studies and Director of Clinical Training to today. In the field of research, Dr. Marco has published more than 170 scientific papers including 45 indexed by a factor of more than 120 cumulative impact, and has participated in over 30 research projects funded, leading 12 of them. Currently it maintains lines of research in articular cartilage, cell therapy, trauma and shoulder surgery.
