Fernando L. Vale MD

Dr. Fernando Vale, M.D. is an Associate Professor and Surgical Director of the Epilepsy Center at the University of South Florida, and Vice Chief of the Neurosciences Department at Tampa General Hospital. Dr. Vale earned his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico. He served a one-year internship in general surgery and a five-year residency in neurosurgery at the University of Alabama Hospitals in Birmingham.

He is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Neurological Surgery. He has published numerous journal articles and book chapters and participated in many oral and poster presentations. He is a frequent guest speaker at symposiums and professional society meetings and has participated in numerous research studies and clinical trials.
