Ferenc Tury PhD

Ferenc Tury is a psychiatrist, psychotherapist, and psychologist. He obtained a medical degree in 1975 and a psychology degree in 1988. He defended his PhD thesis in 1994. Previously, he worked as a psychiatrist at the Medical University of Debrecen and then at the County Hospital in Miskolc. Since 2001, he has been teaching at the Institute of Behavioral Sciences of Semmelweis University, since 2007 he has been a university professor, and in 2007 he was the director of the institute. He is currently deputy general director at the same place. Former president of the Hungarian Psychiatric Association and the Hungarian Hypnosis Association. So far, around 350 publications have been published, including 11 books.
