Ferdinando Iellamo

Dr. Ferdinando Iellamo, Medical Doctor, is a Full Professor of Sports Medicine, Director of Post-graduate School of Sports Medicine and Physical Exercise at the Department of Clinical Science and Translational Medicine, the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. He got his graduation in medicine at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. Specialist in cardiology (University La Sapienza, Rome) and Sports Medicine (University “Tor Vergata”, Rome). Doctor Iellamo got a Research Award in Cardiology in 1991. Member of the Italian Committee Research Evaluation Review Panel, and of Research Projects of National Relevance Grant Review Panel of the Italian Ministry of Education and Science. Associate Editor Frontiers in Physiology: Exercise Physiology. Currently, Dr. Iellamo’s researches focus on neural cardiovascular regulation in health and disease, exercise physiology, and cardiac rehabilitation.
