Dr. Fishman, who comes to Loyola from Yale School of Medicine, is an assistant professor in the department of orthopaedic surgery of Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. Dr. Fishman treats upper extremity (arm and hand) conditions in children. She treats adults from the forearm down. Among the most complex cases Dr. Fishman performs are congenital hand differences in children, including polydactyly (too many fingers), syndactyly (webbing between fingers) and clinodactyly (curved fingers).

Dr. Fishman earned a medical degree from New York Medical College. She completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Duke University School of Medicine and fellowships in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Minnesota and pediatric upper extremity surgery at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Dr. Fishman is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and has a subspecialty certificate in hand surgery. She sees patients at the Loyola Outpatient Center in Maywood and Loyola Center for Health at River Forest.
