Federica Amati is a Research Associate at the WHO Collaborating Centre for Health Education and Training in the Department of Primary Care and Public Health as well as the NIHR ARC mental health team. Federica holds a teaching role as the Nutrition Lead at the School of Medicine as part of the LMAP team.

She completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Medicine Research with an NIHR-funded studentship. Her primary research interests are maternal and early child health, specifically in the 1st 1000-days, women's health, and the gut microbiome as a modifiable factor with Nutrition to improve health outcomes.

Alongside her post at Imperial College, she is a postgraduate researcher with the NNedPro Global Centre, Nesta UK, ILSI EU, and ZOE Nutrition, and works with private Nutrition clients as an AfN Registered Nutritionist.
