Dr. Fazia Raza is a certified gynecologist, and infertility & fetal medicine specialist with many areas of specialties but one of her special interests lie in researching the field of gynecology. She published a research paper which was a study of HIV/AIDS in women in KPK, Pakistan. The paper aimed to determine the epidemiological characteristics of HIV/AIDS-positive women in KPK. She conducted a year-long study and concluded that socioeconomic status and the level of education of a person seriously impact the spread of HIV/AIDS along with Contaminated syringes and surgical equipment. To contain the spread, regular blood screening and safe, hygienic practices must be implemented in hospitals as well as necessary measures should be taken for the education of the masses in Pakistan.
