Fatima Sheikh, MD, MPH, is the medical director of multiple sub-acute/long-term care facilities in Baltimore. She was trained at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Geriatrics and currently holds a part-time faculty position with Geriatric Medicine at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She is also a clinician, educator, and researcher in post-acute and long-term care settings. Her scholarly focus is on clinical training of the learners coming to her sub-acute/long-term care (LTC) facilities and to develop formal curricula for them about sub-acute/LTC. She has a great interest in improving healthcare for the frail and elderly population with special focus on end-of-life care.
