Fatima Rahman FACEM, MBChB

Dr. Fatima Rahman is currently an Emergency Physician working at Alfred Health (this includes The Alfred E&TC and Sandringham Hospital). She is the Deputy Director for Emergency Services at Alfred Health as well as the Director of the Emergency Department at Sandringham.

Fatima graduated from medical school in Johannesburg, South Africa and has always had a keen interest in trauma and medical education. She moved to Australia in 2005 after having spent 2 years working in Emergency Departments across the UK. She completed her Emergency Medicine Fellowship at The Alfred in 2010 and was also the Alfred Hospital’s inaugural Trauma Fellow.

Her interests have seen her hold numerous positions at The Alfred including Director of Emergency Medicine Training as well as an appointment as a consultant with The Trauma Unit.
