Fatemeh Malekpour Ghorbani MD

Dr. Fatemeh Malekpour Ghorbani board-certified and fellowship-trained vascular surgeon, Dr. Malekpour is in practice at Staten Island University Hospital. She also serves as an Assistant Professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

A part of Northwell Health, Staten Island University Hospital is a 668-bed specialized teaching hospital that occupies two main campuses and numerous community-based health centers and laboratories. The 17-acre campus on Seaview Avenue in Ocean Breeze offers a wide range of services and features the island’s most advanced emergency department (ED), a state-of-the-art education center, and a renowned Heart Institute.

A native of Iran, Dr. Malekpour graduated with her medical degree from the Islamic Azad University – Tehran Branch. Wanting to further her education, she relocated to the United States and completed her residency in general surgery at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center. Finally, she completed her fellowship in vascular surgery at the UT Southwestern Medical Center.
