Farzaneh Salem PharmD, PhD

Dr Farzaneh Salem is an Associate Director, PBPK Modelling at GSK. She received her PhD in Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Centre for Applied Pharmacokinetic Research (CAPKR) at the University of Manchester in 2014. Her PhD focused on enzyme ontogeny and its impact on modelling drug-drug interactions in paediatrics. Before her PhD, Farzaneh was a research fellow at the University of Sheffield and worked as a pharmacist in Iran. Farzaneh joined the team at Simcyp in 2013. Since joining Simcyp, she has worked on various consultancy and grant projects. Her current areas of research focus are leading the development of Simcyp paediatric Simulator, drug-drug interactions, dermal absorption and special populations. She has been a member of ASCPT since 2016 and the SPO committee.
