Farouk Hassan MD, MS

Dr. Hassan has over 15 years of practice in Interventional Neuroradiology procedures, including embolization of intracranial aneurysms, AVM, dural fistula, vascular malformations, and embolization of vascular tumors, in addition to mechanical thrombectomy for acute stroke, carotid artery stenting, and different Neurointerventional procedures.

Dr. Hassan is A. Professor of Interventional Neuroradiology in Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. He was trained in France where he got the French diploma of diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology from Paris-Descartes University, and AFSA of Neurointervention from Lille University. He also got the European diploma of Neurointervention (ECMINT/Oxford).

Dr. Hassan is a member of esteemed associations such as the World Stroke Organisation (WSO), the European Society of Neurointervention (ESMINT), the World Federation of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology (WFITN), and has been invited to attend, present and coordinate at Interventional Neuroradiology conferences from all over the world. Dr. Hassan has also received awards for his role in establishing the Interventional Neuroradiology Unit at Zagazig University Hospital, Elmenia University Hospital, and Banha.
