Fariz Nurwidya MD, PhD, FAPSR

Dr. Fariz Nurwidya was the President of the Student Executive Board (Senat Mahasiswa) of the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia (FKUI) period 2003-2004. He obtained his Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree in 2006. He was then enrolled as a pulmonology resident from July 2009 until December 2017 at the Department of Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine, FKUI - Persahabatan Hospital. During his residency, he was appointed to learn basic molecular thoracic oncology at the Department of Respiratory Medicine, Juntendo University, Tokyo, which led to a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in 2015. He is a board-certified respiratory physician and a clinical teacher certified by the FKUI. He received the Professional Lecturer License (Sertifikat Dosen) in 2020. Currently, he is the Assistant Professor at the FKUI under the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology and Secretary of the College of Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Indonesia.

He has been awarded 16 international awards from various prestigious international societies such as the Asian-Pacific Society of Respirology, American Thoracic Society, European Respiratory Society, Japanese Respiratory Society, Izu Respiratory Forum, and International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer.
