Faiz Baharudin MBBS, MPH, DrPH

Dr. Faiz Baharudin is a medical doctor by profession, who graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Malaya in 2013. He continued his postgraduate study with a Master of Public Health (MPH) at the same university in 2017 and graduated with Distinction. He then pursued his doctorate study in Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) and developed a special interest in Occupational Medicine and Sports Medicine field, especially in musculoskeletal disorders, musculoskeletal injury, physical activity, and physical fitness area. He is a certified Occupational Health Doctor (OHD), Certified Medical Impairment Assessor (CMIA), Medical Review Officer (MRO), and Ergonomic Trained Person (ETP). Apart from that, he has also completed both Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Medicine and Sports Management by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). He had experience as the Team Doctor for Malaysia National Basketball Team in several international championships such as Southeast Asia Basketball Association (SEABA) Championship, Southeast Asian (SEA) Games Championship, and FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers. Currently, he serves as the founding chairman of MABA Medical Management since 2020.

On top of that, Dr. Faiz is very active as a qualified basketball coach at the national level since 2010. In 2008, he founded his own basketball club, Malaya Titans Basketball Club which actively participates in local basketball tournaments in Malaysia. His highest achievement as a coach was when he brought the MABA Selection team to win Agong Cup National Basketball Championships in 2017, the highest basketball tournament in Malaysia. Currently, he serves as the head coach of the Malaysian Armed Forces Basketball Team since 2019. As a qualified coach, he holds ISN Grade A Coaching License, MABA Level 3 Basketball Coaching License, and ISN Level 3 Sports Science course.
