Dr. Jahangiri is currently working as a VP of Clinical Affairs at AXIS Neuromonitoring. He has previously worked as a Senior Consultant (Attending) Neurophysiologist in the department of Neurosurgery (Hamad Medical Corporation, Doha, Qatar) and department of neurology (Ministry of National Guards Health Affairs, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia). After completing his medical school and residencies in general surgery and radiology, he did his graduate studies in the field of Biomedical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Jahangiri has been actively involved in the field of medicine and surgery for more than 25 years now. He has performed/supervised more than 8000 surgical procedures in more than 300 hospitals in USA. He is actively involved in research and education in multiple national and international societies. He is also reviewer for multiple journals.
He is also actively involved in applied philanthropic efforts for introducing intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) in underdeveloped countries. He has multiple publications and has been invited as a guest speaker at various national and international meetings. Dr. Jahangiri is regularly conducting IONM workshops (as a course director) for neuro and orthopedic surgeons in many countries. Dr. Jahangiri has recently published a book "Surgical Neurophysiology" for the IONM community. The 2nd edition is available on his website with free shipping.
