Fabrice Chouraqui PhD, PharmD, MBA

Fabrice Chouraqui is President of Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. In this role, he leads the pharmaceutical business in the United States, including the day-to-day operations of US General Medicines, which comprises leading positions in cardiovascular, respiratory, dermatology, immunology, neuroscience and ophthalmology. He chairs the US Pharma Executive Committee and the US General Medicines Executive Committee.
Fabrice has broad experience in the pharmaceutical industry and worked in leadership positions in the US, Europe, Asia and Latin America. Over the years, Fabrice has held positions in development, commercial and general management, and gained expertise in a number of therapeutic areas, including immunology, neuroscience, oncology and cardiovascular.
Fabrice joined Novartis Pharmaceuticals in 2010 as Country Head for Belgium and most recently was Head of the Latin America and Canada region. His earlier roles at Novartis also include Worldwide Business Franchise Head for the Neuroscience Business Unit, during which time he successfully grew Gilenya to one of our largest brands. Fabrice has also held leadership positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb and worked for Hoechst Marion Roussel. Fabrice holds a Master’s degree in science and a Ph.D. in pharmaceuticals from the University of Paris as well as an MBA from INSEAD.
