Fabien Gagnon MD, D.Psy., DESS, CSPQ, FRCPC, FCFP, DFAPA, DFCPA, FAPM

Dr. Gagnon is President and Chair of the Continuing Education Committee of CSME. Dr. Fabien Gagnon is a Certified Sub-specialist in Forensic Psychiatry by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is professor at the Department of Psychiatry and Neurosciences at Université Laval in Quebec City. He also maintains a practice in Consultation-Liaison psychiatry, and works as a civil forensic psychiatrist..

Dr. Gagnon first trained as a psychologist (M.Ps., D.Psy.) and as a family physician, (CCFP, FCFP) before completing a residency training program in psychiatry at Université Laval and University of Ottawa. He has worked as a clinical psychiatrist and clinical supervisor for the last 27 years. He has served for many years as a member of the Specialty Committee in Psychiatry for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He has completed the microprogram and the DESS in Insurance and Medicolegal Medicine at University of Montreal. He is a member of the Canadian Academy of Psychiatry and the Law, and is a Certified in Forensic Psychiatry by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is interested by issues related to civil litigation.
