Fabiana Braga MD, PhD

Fabiana Marcondes Braga graduated in Medicine from the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP (2001), a PhD in Cardiology (2012), and a Post-doctorate (2018) both from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (FMUSP). Currently, she is an assistant physician and researcher at the Cardiac Transplant Center of the Heart Institute (InCor-HC.FMUSP), with experience mainly on the following topics: acute and chronic heart failure, biomarkers in heart failure, exhaled air, cardiac metabolism, and heart transplantation.

She works with the Department of Heart Failure of the Brazilian Society of Cardiology (DEIC-SBC) and is involved in the group's scientific activities such as participation in the last six guidelines published by the group (III Guideline on Chronic Heart Failure (2009) and its Update (2012), II Guideline on Acute Heart Failure (2009) and its Update (2012), II Guideline on Heart Transplantation - 2010), I Guideline on Pericarditis and Myocarditis (2012), the III Perioperative Guideline and the III Guideline on Heart Transplantation (2018) and III Guideline on Acute and Chronic Heart Failure (2018).
