Dr. Eyal Zimlichman is an internal medicine physician, and an expert in health care quality and value measurement and improvement and patient safety with specific focus on health information technology. Dr. Zimlichman has joined the senior executive team at Sheba Medical Center as Deputy Director and Chief Quality Officer. Prior to returning to Israel.

Dr. Zimlichman has worked as the Lead Researcher at Partners Health Care Clinical Affairs Department in Boston where he was involved in the efforts to bring about a strategic care redesign initiative. He also conducted research on implementing technology to improve health care quality and patient safety working at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School affiliated Center for Patient Safety Research and Practice. During his time in Boston Dr. Zimlichman served as an advisor to the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Care Information Technology in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Before leaving to Boston, Dr. Zimlichman held senior positions in the Israeli Defense Force Medical Corps, last of which was the head of the Quality Management Section.

Dr. Zimlichman is a graduate of the Harvard School of Public Health Executive Health Care Management Master of Science program and has earned his MD at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel. In 2007 Dr. Zimlichman was selected as a member of Sheba's Talpiot Medical Leadership Program.
